Rayne’s Velefique International Freeride 2012

VIF2012 Poster

For all of you who are not yet familiar with the Velefique Freeride that went down a year ago in Spain, it is a sick freeride event organised by Rubio Rollerskater and his Downhill Málaga crew in a tiny village of only 303 people called Velefique, in the heart of Almería, that has a beautiful and long road nearby where the freeride takes place. Video of last year’s event below.

The first edition had the pleasure to welcome many national and international skaters including World Champion Kevin Reimer. Many riders are expected this time, especially because it’s just taking place after the Lago Azul Pro Euro IGSA race, so be fast on your registration if you don’t want to miss it!

As you can see it takes places from the 20th until the 23rd of September and this year it is mainly sponsored by Rayne Longboards and FORTrate Distribution.

The road is extremely long with countless hairpins and awesome views. Check this out:

You can find all the information regarding the event + registration access at the official website: www.freeridevelefique.es.

  1. Thanks for posting up! Stoked to reach out to the world from Vancouver, Canada! Wish all of us here at the shop could be out there to skate, but we know Alvaro Bajo and FORTrate are going to take care!
