Hello skaters all around!
On the 17-18th of August, me and my buddies in the central coast of Sweden are throwing a massive weekend of fun for you all. It’s called the TABERG DOWNHILL CHALLENGE and is the Swedish championships of downhill skateboarding on a whole new course.
The violent and winding road climbs about 1,1 km to the top and offers quick acceleration, fast straights and tight turns on asphalt of top condition. As riders, your physique and your psyche will be tested to the limit.
Course length: 1.1 km Speed: 80km/h+
Vertical drop: 100m
Maximum gradient: 19%
Average gradient: 9%
The only discipline is stand-up skateboarding and there will be 4-man heats of freeride for maximum number of runs, race to qualify and race. We’ll use IDF rules, so a leather-suit, slide gloves and a full face is mandatory.
Location: Tabergs topp is 15 km south of Jönköping, Sweden.
Time: Friday from 8pm, Saturday and Sunday 8am-6pm
Classes: Open, Junior (-17) and Ladies
The camp site is a conservation area so littering, destroying forest/land is prohibited
Entry fee: 999kr (117 eur) [Food and accommodation: included in the entry fee]

It’s really easy to get to Taberg, either by train, car or bus. The course is within walking distance from the train station. There will be a fully loaded weekend with BBQ on Saturday, live music and lurky happenings as minigolf.
Last date of registration is 4th of august.
